OBITUARY

Thomas Woltz Pool, Jr., of Clarksville, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at the age of 75. He was born in Danville, VA on November 9, 1949 to the late Thomas Woltz Pool, Sr and the late Hilda Yancey Pool.

 

Thomas was a retired employee for VDOT. He loved working on the grounds for the Clarksville Dixie Youth in his younger years. He was proud of the work he and his friends accomplished during that time with Clarksville Dixie Youth. Thomas also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his buddies. In his retirement, he loved spending time with his grandsons and cutting grass.

 

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna Ligon Pool, daughter Ann Redd (Jesse) and Tyler Pool (Susan); grandchildren, William and Davis Redd, Liam, Jax, and Kai Pool. He also leaves his sisters and brothers, Barbara Crawford, Mary Jane Yancey, Steve Pool, Joe Pool, and Jerry Pool, as well as, sister-in-law Kathy Ligon, and brother-in-law Glenn Powell.

 

A celebration of his life will be held at Clarksville Presbyterian Church on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 2:00 pm with reception to immediately follow in the fellowship hall.
