WEEKLY UPDATE

Hope everyone is having a blessed week! Here's what happening at Clarksville Presbyterian:

1) Divine Dining Adventure is a chance to get together with other church members, enjoy a time of fellowship, and get to know one another better. We have five homes who are hosting meals Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19. If you would like to participate, please respond to this email and indicate whether you can do it Friday only, Saturday only, or either one. There will be childcare available at the church on Friday evening. Once the groups are set, the hosts will contact each person with further details.

2) Don't forget to drop off items for the Yard Sale this Thursday and Friday, 10-2, in the Fellowship Hall.

3) We need volunteers for the following events this weekend, May 12-13:

        - Food Pantry - Saturday - 9am - noon
        - Yard Sale - Saturday - 8-9 am, 11-12am, 12-1 pm, 1-2 pm, 2-3 pm, 3-4 pm (clean-up)
        - After-church refreshments

4) Looking ahead: May 13, which is Mothers’ Day, will be Youth Sunday; May 20 will be Confirmation Sunday; and May 27 will be Worship in the Park. Mark your calendars for what will be a busy and joyful month of celebration.

5) The Seekers Sunday School class, taught by Rev. Moss, is starting a special 4-part series this week. We’ll be looking at the different Protestant denominations in America – how they came about, what they believe, and how their government is different. It should be a fun and informative time. All are welcome to join us in the back classroom downstairs at 10:00 am.

6) The JUMPY Youth group is registered for their Mission Trip to Copperhill, TN, July 15-21. We are looking for a male chaperone (at least age 21) to join them. If you or someone you know might be willing to go, please let Rev. Moss know. We are asking each participant to pay at least the $89 deposit, and hope to raise the rest of the cost.
